Solid Angle releases MtoA

Solid Angle has released Maya to Arnold version

New features include:

  • Faster ray tracing of curves and volumes.
  • Opacity controls added to the Skin Shader.
  • Cache Interpolated Motion Blur for nParticles.
  • Subdivision soft creases support. MtoA will take into account the Maya edge and vertex creases and apply them to the rendertime subdivision cage.
  • You can now tell MtoA to export the base mesh cage to Arnold instead of the subdivided one by disabling the Smooth Mesh Preview checkbox and get faster translation time.
  • The autobump detail enhancement now works for procedurally displaced polymeshes even when there are no UV texture coordinates.
  • Improved XGen rendertime performance with curves in emitter geometry with many faces.
